Gravity Defying Champagne

Although design-wise this was a very simply project, the bottle mold and gravity-defying structure was somewhat more challenging, which is exactly what we live for!

This is actually gravity defying cake MK3, as we were not 100% satisfied with the internal framework structure or bottle chocolate sculpture in the earlier 2 attempts



Luxury Rocky-Road base/barrel, decorated in sculpting chocolate, glass sculpted out of solid white chocolate, bottle with marshmallow core and white chocolate molded exterior


Creative pipeline

CAD drawings to evaluate 'cake engineering' and correct number of portions 1hr

Making internal support design 1 - 0.5hrs

Making bottle and glass mold - 3hrs

Making internal support design 2 - 1hr

Making bottle mold v2 - 2hrs

Baking, sculpting and painting 1.5 days
